Working principle and structure

Decanter centrifuges separate solid substances from one or two liquid phases in a continuous process. This is achieved by centrifugal force more than 3,000 times greater than the specific gravity force. The suspension enters the bowl through the feed pipe and the spiral outlet, and under the action of the centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation, the solid particles with large specific gravity are deposited on the inner wall of the bowl, and the spiral blades that move relative to the bowl continuously scrape off the solid particles deposited on the inner wall of the bowl and push out the slag discharge port. The separated liquid flows out of the bowl through the opening of the weir plate. The relative movement between the spiral and the bowl, i.e. the differential speed, is achieved by means of a differential, which enables a continuous separation process of the centrifuge. The speed of the auger can be automatically adjusted by a variable frequency drive (VFD) to adapt it to different solids contents. Pumping stations are available.

Seal
